If you are considering to come out tomorrow and build snowbears with us, please get ready: prepare your warmest clothing, your thermos,… and check before you leave if the snow is packable.
We will decide daily if and when to meet, but of course you can just go whenever you feel like it.
Our meeting point: north-west entrance of the Great Lawn in Central Park, on the height of 85th St.
If you dare to build in this terrible cold, please make sure you are safe. If you can come to the Great Lawn choose a position for your bear that the skyline of NY will be the background. And please don’t forget to take photos of snowbears (no matter where they are) and send them to polarbearfestnyc@gmail.com
Hopefully on one of these days we can fill the entire Great Lawn with hundreds of snowbears!

We invite everybody to come out on days when there’s enough snow on the ground to build snowbears on the Great Lawn of Central Park, New York City.
Building snowbears is a creative demonstration - our version of a march - demanding an end to the corporate, military, and state emission of greenhouse gases.
While it doesn’t require dramatic actions, it opens our minds and hearts to the sphere of hope and of possibility, and garners public attention in a unique way.
